What a super cool idea this is! One day while doing laundry, Chris Oliver was listening to Joe Jack’s Lovers Attack the World and thought, this song could use drums and keys, maybe some backing vocals. So he added them, and ya know what? Joe loved it! So they ended up with a whole album of songs reinterpreted by Chris, including two brand new songs that they wrote together. Here’s where I come in.

On this Record Snail Day Exclusive, you can get a black 6” lathe embossed record of the two new songs, Gender Blender and Asleep Foot, and it includes a download of the whole dang album, 8 more of Joe’s songs that have been beefed up by Chris’s instrumentation, vocals, and magic touch. Another fun little factoid about these records? I cut them using both machines, the ~1937 Presto 6DSP and the 1947 Rek-O-Kut Challenger, so who knows which one you’ll get, they sound a little different!
